Volleyball Recap: West's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but West unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Hunter Wolverines. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in September.

While West was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hunter's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 26-24.

West's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 18-5. As for Hunter, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. West is set to take on their familiar foe Cyprus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hunter will challenge rival Granger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
