Recap: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Cascade Cadets
The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cascade, falling 62-30. Cloverdale has struggled against Cascade recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Cascade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Claire Austin led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Austin has scored all season. Creedance Chittenden was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine steals.
Cloverdale's defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-17. As for Cascade, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloverdale will face off against Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. Cascade won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th.
