The matchup between Barnwell and Edisto on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Warhorses put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 15-9 victory. The win was nothing new for the Warhorses as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Trey Boleman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joe Huggins, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jax Mead, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.

Barnwell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .436. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Barnwell's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Edisto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnwell will take on Whale Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edisto, they will challenge Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
