Soccer Game Preview: Ygnacio Valley vs. Benicia

The Ygnacio Valley Wolves will head out to take on the Benicia Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Benicia will be up against a hot Ygnacio Valley team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Ygnacio Valley never let Concord onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Wolves have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Edgar Torres Quintanilla, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Benicia's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They and College Park finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Panthers happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 7, 2024.

Benicia's draw makes their record 7-2-2 this season. As for Ygnacio Valley, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
