Softball Recap: Petersburg Extends Winning Streak to Three

Petersburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They never let the Kress Kangaroos get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 31-20 last Tuesday.

Petersburg's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Kress, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Petersburg will take on O'Donnell at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kress, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m.
