Basketball Recap: Sherwood Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sherwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 45-39 win over the Holden Eagles on Wednesday. While the Marksmen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sherwood pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Holden, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherwood will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Holden also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
