Basketball Recap: East Carter Comes Up Short

East Carter lost against Neelyville back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Carter Redbirds took a 40-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neelyville Tigers. The game marked the Redbirds' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

East Carter's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Neelyville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Carter will face off against Twin Rivers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Neelyville, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Neelyville Tigers take on the South Iron Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Iron will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Neelyville surely won't give up without a fight.
