Softball Recap: Sherrard Comes Up Short

Sherrard fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Kewanee on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Boilermakers by a score of 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Boilermakers: they've now lost four in a row.

Sherrard's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Kewanee, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Sherrard will face off against East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kewanee, they will take on Rock Island at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
