Portola extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Connor Sheridan. The Portola Tigers came out on top against the Biggs Wolverines by a score of 74-61 on Thursday thanks in part to Sheridan, who dropped a double-double with 39 points and 26 boards. His evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Magnus Berg, who posted 17 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Biggs lost, don't look at Brady Smith. Despite the final result, he had 25 points and six assists. That was a full 41% of Biggs' points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Seipert, who earned 11 points.

Portola is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Biggs, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portola will head out to take on Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Portola's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 matchups. As for Biggs, they are taking a road trip to face off against Maxwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Biggs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
