Volleyball Recap: Alak Takes a Loss

Alak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meade River Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Alak sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 15-10.

Alak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Meade River, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Alak by a score of 3-0 later that day.
