Girard entered their tilt with Labette County on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Grizzlies. The Trojans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Grizzlies, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Girard not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Labette County between 18 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.

Maddie Coester paced Girard's offense, picking up 14 kills. Coester got some help from Emilee Hanks and her 22 assists. Coester was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Girard's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Labette County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Girard has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Parsons on the 20th. As for Labette County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lebo on the 20th.
