Soccer Recap: John Champe Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, John Champe was not quite Woodgrove's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. John Champe were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Woodgrove apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

John Champe's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Woodgrove, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coincidentally, John Champe and Woodgrove will both be playing Loudoun County the next time they take the pitch. The Knights will host the Captains at 7:15 p.m. on the 24th, while the Wolverines will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on May 1.
