Softball Game Preview: South Houston Trojans vs. Sam Rayburn Texans

South Houston is 1-9 against Sam Rayburn since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. South Houston will square off against Sam Rayburn at 4:00 a.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

South Houston is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to Pearland, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Pearland, falling 17-1.

Sam Rayburn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleah Garza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

South Houston's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Sam Rayburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

South Houston suffered a grim 31-15 defeat to Sam Rayburn when the teams last played back in February. Can South Houston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
