It was another big night for Tristen Trevino, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaelan Custer, who posted ten points and four steals.
The Ambrose School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, New Plymouth was able to grind out a solid win over Nampa Christian on Wednesday, taking the game 44-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pilgrims.
New Plymouth's win came from a few key players The Ambrose School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cohen Evans, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played. Kaden Hawker was another key player, en route to 12 points along with six boards and three steals.
The Ambrose School's record now sits at 15-7. As for New Plymouth, their record is now 16-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: The Ambrose School has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 38 rebounds per game. However, it's not like New Plymouth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
