Baseball Recap: Hilltop Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Hilltop was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against the North Baltimore Tigers, falling 12-2. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Cameron Schlosser and Terry Rebeck stepped up to the plate in a big way. Schlosser went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Rebeck went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That triple was Schlosser's first of the season.

Hilltop's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for North Baltimore, they moved to 8-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Hilltop is taking a road trip to face off against Cardinal Stritch at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Baltimore, they will be playing at home against Waynesfield-Goshen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Waynesfield-Goshen will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something North Baltimore surely won't give up without a fight.
