Basketball Recap: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Logan Grizzlies
Even though the Mountain Crest Mustangs have not done well against the Logan Grizzlies recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mountain Crest managed a 53-47 win over the Grizzlies. This was payback for Mountain Crest, who suffered a 85-84 loss the last time these two teams met.
Mountain Crest had a senior duo take command as Kaden Hess almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds and Rigdon Anderson scored 21 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season.
Mountain Crest's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Logan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Crest will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Green Canyon is ranked 23rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 41st). Logan is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
