Volleyball Recap: Coronado's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Coronado came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the High Tech SD Storm. Considering the last time the Islanders couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Coronado was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-18.

With the defeat, Coronado broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10. As for High Tech SD, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coronado is set to take on their familiar foe Mira Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, High Tech SD will face off against rival University City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
