Football Recap: Redmond Panthers vs. Ridgeview Ravens
Redmond extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They had to suffer through a 57-14 loss at the hands of the Ridgeview Ravens. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Ravens are ranked 15th).
When it comes to explaining why Redmond lost, don't look at Carter Wachs. Despite the final result, he picked up 199 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
As for Ridgeview, their record now sits at 7-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ridgeview had a senior duo take command as Gage Hobbs threw for 167 yards and three TDs on only ten passes and Ryden Nakamura gained 163 total yards and two touchdowns. Nakamura also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Alex Deuser handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown.
As of now, neither Redmond nor Ridgeview have any future games scheduled.
