Softball Recap: Central Catholic Rams vs. Nelson

Central Catholic came out on top against Nelson on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Rams walked away with an 8-4 victory over Nelson. The Rams haven't had any issues with Nelson recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jaspen Lauderback-Smith made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Lauderback-Smith was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Grace Schellinkhout was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ella Schellinkhout was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
