Baseball Recap: Mcquaid Jesuit Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

McQuaid Jesuit had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Canisius Crusaders by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

McQuaid Jesuit got a good showing from Joey Mistretta, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, William McCarthy was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dominic Corona, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Coming up, McQuaid Jesuit will head out to face off against Victor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canisius, they will be playing at home against McQuaid Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
