Soccer Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

Lincolnton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Bandys Trojans, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Lincolnton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Bandys are ranked 161st).

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Bandys, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lincolnton will take on rival West Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bandys is set to square off against their familiar foe Maiden at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
