Basketball Recap: Parker Webster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Challis over Salmon + How To Watch

If Challis was riding high fresh off their 63-34 takedown of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell 74-62 to the Salmon Savages on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Savages: they've now lost five in a row.

Challis' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Webster, who shot 50% from the field en route to 28 points and three blocks. Webster is becoming a predictor of the Vikings' success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Ramey Rhoades was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten assists.

Salmon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Broc Matthews, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Matthews has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Pilkerton, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 19 points along with five boards and four steals.

Challis now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Salmon, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
