Softball Recap: Kaiser Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Kaiser was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell 6-2 to the Summit SkyHawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Cats in their meetings with the SkyHawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Alyssa Montoya was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Kaiser's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kaiser will square off against Jurupa Hills at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Cats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Summit, they will face off against Carter at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Lions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
