Softball Game Preview: Colonial Forge Eagles vs. Brooke Point Black Hawks

The Colonial Forge Eagles will head out to take on the Brooke Point Black Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooke Point took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Colonial Forge, who comes in off a win.

Colonial Forge proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 23) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Courtland 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Brooke Point fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 14-0 to the Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Black Hawks in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Colonial Forge pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Brooke Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Colonial Forge took their win against Brooke Point in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Black Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
