Baseball Game Preview: Central Jaguars vs. Aletheia Christian Academy Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Jaguars challenge Aletheia Christian Academy Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Central and Aletheia Christian Academy will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Central made easy work of Monroe Academy and carried off an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brock Schmidt was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Brock Reeves was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases.

Meanwhile, Aletheia Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Conquerors.

The team relied heavily on Brady Carlson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tanner Brock, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Central's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
