Football Recap: Armijo Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Armijo kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Yuba City Honkers and fell 47-6.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Ryan Corum and Cody Haase. Corum rushed for 174 yards and one score on only 15 carries while Haase gained 81 total yards and four touchdowns. What's more, Haase racked up 45 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Allen, who threw for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Armijo will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Bishop O'Dowd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yuba City, they are taking a road trip to take on Rosemont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
