Basketball Game Preview: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. East Bay Indians

The Strawberry Crest Chargers will head out to square off against the East Bay Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Strawberry Crest has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-0 during that stretch of close contests.

Strawberry Crest is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since December 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Durant out 71-68.

Meanwhile, East Bay played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Tampa Prep, falling 63-43. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Terrapins are ranked 67th).

Strawberry Crest's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for East Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Strawberry Crest came up short against East Bay in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 56-52. Thankfully for Strawberry Crest, Kamren Lovett (who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
