Baseball Game Preview: Norfolk Academy Bulldogs vs. First Colonial Patriots

The Norfolk Academy Bulldogs will square off against the First Colonial Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Norfolk Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, taking the game 5-1. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, while First Colonial put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Bayside. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Marlins. Considering the Patriots have won three games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Norfolk Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for First Colonial, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Norfolk Academy might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from First Colonial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024.
