Henderson County waltzed into their matchup on Sunday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They didn't even let the Daviess County Panthers on the board, marking their second-straight 7-0 shutout. Considering the Colonels have won 24 contests by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Henderson County pushed their record up to 34-4 with the win, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Daviess County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 28-7.

Looking ahead, Henderson County will face off against Scott County on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colonels 2.5, the Cardinals 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Daviess County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
