Basketball Game Preview: Midlothian Panthers vs. Kaufman Lions

The Midlothian Panthers will take on the Kaufman Lions in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian took on Midlothian Heritage on Friday. The Panthers received a blow as they fell 46-32 to the Jaguars. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Kaufman over Ennis in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Kaufman blew Ennis out of the water with a 55-24 final score. The win continues a trend for Kaufman in their matchups with Ennis: they've now won eight in a row.

Kaufman's win came from a few key players Midlothian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaylee Wrenn, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Kayden Lidy, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Kaufman's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Midlothian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
