Basketball Recap: Scott County Comes Up Short

Scott County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Great Crossing. The Cardinals lost against Great Crossing in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 81-54 score last time.

Scott County's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Great Crossing, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Scott County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-45 victory against Bath County on the 25th. As for Great Crossing, they will host Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
