Softball Recap: West Holmes Takes a Loss

West Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lexington Minutemen, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 last Tuesday.

West Holmes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was BRIAR CLINE, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

West Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lexington, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, West Holmes will head out on the road to square off against Maysville at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Lexington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fredericktown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
