Softball Game Preview: New Egypt Warriors vs. Florence Township Memorial Flashes

The New Egypt Warriors will take on the Florence Township Memorial Flashes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

New Egypt is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. John-Vianney just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the Lancers. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Lancers' pitchers proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Florence Township Memorial got the win against Princeton on Saturday by a conclusive 12-4.

New Egypt's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Florence Township Memorial, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8.

Everything went New Egypt's way against Florence Township Memorial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as New Egypt made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Flashes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
