Recap: Argonia Red Raiders vs. Attica Bulldogs
Even though the Argonia Red Raiders have not done well against the Attica Bulldogs recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Argonia skirted past Attica 44-41. This was payback for Argonia, who suffered a 55-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Argonia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dalton Morrison out in front who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Morrison set a new season high mark in steals with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Filippo Leonardi, who scored 15 points.
Argonia's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Attica, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argonia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Udall at 7:30 a.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, Attica and South Haven will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 12:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (South Haven is ranked 317th, while Attica is ranked 325th).
