Football Recap: Coral Park Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Coral Park and Southridge squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Coral Park had to settle for second. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The Rams have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Mellanie Diaz threw for 105 yards on ten of 20 attempts. Ana Bodie was her top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Luna Blay rushed for 31 yards.

Coral Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Southridge, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Coral Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-7 win against Braddock on the 15th.
