Football Game Preview: Birmingham Patriots vs. Harvard-Westlake Wolverines + How To Watch

The Birmingham Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Birmingham has given up an average of 35.5 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Birmingham is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games last Friday. They came up short against Calabasas, falling 49-28. On the bright side, the 28- point performance marked the Patriots' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, Birmingham got top-tier performance from Braylen Morgan, who rushed for 146 yards and three scores. The Patriots also got a significant boost from Kevin Hawkins, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.

Meanwhile, after only three points in their last contest, Harvard-Westlake made sure to put some points up on the board against Royal two weeks ago. The Wolverines claimed a resounding 52-16 victory over the Highlanders. The Wolverines pushed the score to 38-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Highlanders had little chance of recovering from.

Birmingham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harvard-Westlake, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Birmingham against Harvard-Westlake in their previous meeting back in August of 2019, as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
