Basketball Recap: Evergreen Lutheran Comes Up Short

Evergreen Lutheran played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 71-40 defeat at the hands of the Neah Bay Red Devils. The Eagles have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Neah Bay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Swan led the charge by going 8-for-13 en route to 17 points and four steals. Swan is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 62% in the last three games he's played. Seactis Woodruff was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Evergreen Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Neah Bay, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Evergreen Lutheran will face off against Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muckleshoot Tribal has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three matchups. As for Neah Bay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-57 victory against Tulalip Heritage on the 20th.
