Butler takes loss despite strong efforts from Kam Gresham and Brayla Harris

Recap: Butler Bulldogs vs. Thomson Bulldogs

The Butler Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thomson. Butler has not had much luck with Thomson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Butler had strong showings from Brayla Harris, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Kam Gresham, who scored seven points along with four blocks.

Leading Thomson to victory were Jada Kendrick and Jazzlyn Crenshaw. Kendrick scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Crenshaw dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Kendrick hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty?Leishiah Latimore, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Butler's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Thomson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Butler will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenn Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenn Hills is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Thomson, they will head out on the road to square off against Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
