Recap: Arabia Mountain Rams vs. M.L. King Lions
The Arabia Mountain Rams lost against the M.L. King Lions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Arabia Mountain took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Arabia Mountain has scored all season.
Arabia Mountain lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Julian Shanks, who scored nine points. Xavien Henry was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.
Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals for M.L. King. Ruzvidzo jr. hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Devin Bowers, who scored 15 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Arabia Mountain and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for M.L. King, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arabia Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. Drew is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for M.L. King, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. Heritage is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
