Soccer Recap: Glascock County Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Glascock County challenged Washington-Wilkes on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 6-0 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Washington-Wilkes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on March 6th.

This is the second loss in a row for Glascock County and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Washington-Wilkes, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Glascock County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Treutlen at 5:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Washington-Wilkes, they will venture away from home to challenge Elbert County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Washington-Wilkes will be up against Elbert County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.08 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
