Sayre was the 1-0 winner over Somerset when they last played one another back in September of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Briar Jumpers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. Sayre's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sayre's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Somerset, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4-2.

Coming up, Sayre will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somerset, they will head out on the road to take on South Laurel at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
