Softball Recap: Milan Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Milan waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Blissfield Royals. That's more bragging rights for the Big Reds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Milan pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Blissfield, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.

Milan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blissfield, they will be playing at home against Tecumseh at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight.
