Volleyball Recap: Poudre Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poudre can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Arvada West Wildcats on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Impalas have suffered since March 6, 2025.

Spiridon Tulius paced Poudre's offense, picking up 19 kills. Tulius got some help from Chais Soderberg and his 36 assists. Drake Solley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Poudre and nudges their season record down to 15-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 20-3 Douglas County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.1% over those games). As for Arvada West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arvada West, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Douglas County on the 2nd.
