South Central won the last time they faced D.H. Conley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The South Central Falcons blew past the D.H. Conley Vikings 77-44. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Vikings are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Central can attribute much of their success to Da'Viaus Johnson, who made all 5 shots he took for 10 points. Zion Whitaker also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samari Cabell, who posted eight points and eight boards. Cabell is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last five games he's played. Khaliq Boston was another key player, putting up ten points.

South Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for D.H. Conley, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

South Central has already played their next contest, a 66-51 win against Havelock on the 6th. As for D.H. Conley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-61 defeat against Jacksonville on the 7th.
