Pasadena has gone 9-1 against Hoover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Tornados at 3:45 p.m. Pasadena is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Pasadena didn't have quite enough to beat La Salle and fell 3-2.

Pasadena saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Andrade, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Aaron Martinez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hoover). They blew past Palmdale Academy Charter School 22-1 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tornados as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Owen Marks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Hoover got a massive performance out of Gabriel Flores, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Flores is becoming a predictor of the Tornados' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-11 when he doesn't). Alex Weimar was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Hoover always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Hoover's record is now 6-11. As for Pasadena, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Pasadena skirted past Hoover 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Tornados have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
