Volleyball Recap: Mather Beats Intrinsic for Their Third Straight Win

Mather waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Intrinsic Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Rangers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mather never let Intrinsic on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14.

Nestylen Caldera paced Mather's offense, picking up five kills. Caldera got some help from Michelle Salinas and her ten assists. Ana Paula Barcenas Asencio controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mather now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Intrinsic, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Mather didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Disney II on the 16th. As for Intrinsic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Marine Leadership Academy on the 17th.
