Basketball Game Preview: Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers vs. Pine Bluffs Hornets

Lingle-Fort Laramie is 1-9 against Pine Bluffs since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers will host the Pine Bluffs Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lingle-Fort Laramie sitting on 15 straight victories and Pine Bluffs on three.

On Thursday, Lingle-Fort Laramie earned a 65-53 win over Southeast.

Lingle-Fort Laramie's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Arnusch, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists Arnusch has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brady Cook, who went 7 of 13 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Bluffs). They breezed by Moorcroft to the tune of 78-25 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Lingle-Fort Laramie pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Pine Bluffs, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Lingle-Fort Laramie was able to grind out a solid victory over Pine Bluffs when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 64-51. Does Lingle-Fort Laramie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine Bluffs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
