Football Preview: San Clemente Tritons vs. Damien Spartans        
        
		
             The San Clemente Tritons will take on the Damien Spartans at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 San Clemente took a loss when they played away from home  two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They managed  a  21-17 win over Edison.
  Colin Kohl continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Those 123  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 Meanwhile, Damien waltzed into their game  on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  34-31  victory over the Cougars.
 The match pitted two dominant  signal callers against one another in  Isaiah Arriaza and  Jacob Chambers. Arriaza had a great game and threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns. Meanwhile,  Chambers was balling out in the loss, throwing for 306 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
 Damien's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 35.4 points per game. As for San Clemente,  the  victory  got them back to even at 5-5.
