Softball Recap: Kewanee Takes a Loss

Kewanee fell victim to Sterling and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Warriors.

Kewanee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalleigh Gale, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Kewanee's loss dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kewanee will face off against Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Boilermakers are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Sterling, they will challenge Geneseo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Warriors are on an eight-game streak of home wins, the Maple Leafs a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
