Basketball Recap: Laredo LBJ Takes a Loss

Laredo LBJ was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 50-42 to the Beechwood Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 871st in Texas, while the Tigers are ranked 79th in Kentucky).

Laredo LBJ's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Beechwood, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Laredo LBJ and Knoxville Catholic will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. One thing working in Knoxville Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Beechwood will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Tate at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
